Hirving "Chucky" Lozano and PSV continued their run toward an Eredivisie title on Sunday with another dominant performance, but got a helping hand in their 4-0 stomping of PEC Zwolle in the form a red card to Mickey van der Hart.
The Mexico star used his impressive pace to break open a backline that had, to that point, held firm against the Eredivisie's top team and was in clear on goal before the goalkeeper's brutal tackle put a stop to the move.
Van der Hart was shown his marching orders for the tackle, and in the process helped open the floodgates for PSV.
Luuk de Jong scored a few minutes later to send the home side to the break with a 1-0 lead, and had added two more to his and the team's tally by the 72nd minute. Joshua Brenet added a fourth to complete the rout in the 78th.
The win left PSV 10 points clear at the top of the table, though Ajax can close the gap to seven with a win over NAC on Sunday.
While the foul ultimately helped out the league leaders, Lozano has cause to be more than a bit upset.
The 22-year-old is tied atop the Eredivisie scoring charts and was in with a golden chance to take the lead.
Despite the rough play, the El Tri winger finished out the match, which will come as bit of relief to fans of both PSV and Mexico.
